FAIRFIELD — November 2, 2026. Fairfield’s Parks Department describes Allan Witt Community Park at 1741 West Texas Street as one of the city’s largest outdoor recreation sites.
Sports and recreation amenities
The city lists an aquatics complex, softball and baseball fields, courts, skate park, sports center, picnic areas, play structures and open lawns. The facility directory gives the site’s size as 46.6 acres.
Organized use is not the same as drop-in play
Fields can have booked practices or maintenance closures, and group picnic areas may require reservations. The city lists 707-428-7428 for some sports field reservations and 707-428-7435 for general parks assistance.
An important visitor caveat
The city’s site-specific facility listing notes limited public restroom availability despite some sports complexes having their own amenities. Check the current venue and event information rather than assume restrooms at every location in the park.
